Help your child build confidence, make friends, and strengthen important social-emotional skills in a fun, supportive, and sensory-friendly environment!
Sensory Skill Builders is designed for children ages 3–6 and uses sensory play, movement, games, and interactive group activities to help children practice the skills they need to connect with others and navigate everyday social situations.
Throughout the class, we’ll work on skills such as:
• Sharing and turn-taking
• Waiting and patience
• Starting and maintaining conversations
• Listening and responding to others
• Cooperative play and teamwork
• Following directions and routines
• Recognizing emotions in ourselves and others
• Expressing wants, needs, and feelings appropriately
• Personal space and body awareness
• Flexible thinking and handling changes
• Problem-solving and making choices
• Self-regulation and coping strategies
• Attention, focus, and impulse control
• Transitioning between activities
The goal isn’t perfection—it’s giving children opportunities to practice, connect, build confidence, and grow alongside their peers in a space where they can be themselves.
The class is led by Kate Kissling, LCSW, who brings years of experience supporting children with a wide range of learning, developmental, and social-emotional needs.
